Refund Policy
Effective: June 28, 2026
First 7 days. You can request a refund within the first 7 days after your subscription starts for a full 70% back, no questions asked. The 7-day window runs from the moment your payment goes through. The first week is the audition — for both you and your maker.
The refund is your satisfaction mechanism. If the maker's first deliverables don't meet your expectations, request a refund within the window — no questions asked. After day 7, work is considered accepted and your recourse for quality or effectiveness is against the maker directly under Terms §5 (Maker's liability to you) or the Standard Engagement Agreement if you click-accepted it — not against getsven. Terms §11 explains the "as is" framing in full.
After the first week. No refunds are issued for completed work. Your maker ships real deliverables every 48 hours — code, analysis, research — and completed work cannot be un-shipped. If you have concerns about a maker's performance after day 7, you can cancel future billing immediately and the current cycle runs to its end. You keep everything shipped to your board up to that day.
Cancel anytime. No long-term contract, no minimum. Cancel from your dashboard whenever you want — your current monthly cycle runs to the end, so you keep access and every deliverable through it, then no further charges.
How to manage. Cancel or request a refund directly from your billing portal. Self-serve, no email back-and-forth.
Why 70% (and not 100%)
The first 7 days aren't free for the maker. They ship real deliverables — code, designs, research — starting day one. The 30% you forgo when cancelling in week 1 covers the maker's prorated work that week plus non-refundable processing costs.
Goodwill refunds
In rare cases — typically when a maker's status is "active" but they fail to respond to a new subscription within 2 business days (see Maker Agreement §4) — getsven may, at its discretion, issue a full (100%) refund to the buyer. Goodwill refunds are not guaranteed; they are a buyer-protection mechanism for the unresponsive-maker case, not a general right.
Chargebacks
We prefer you request a refund through getsven rather than file a chargeback with your card issuer — it's faster (we process within 1–2 business days) and we don't ask questions in the first week. If you do file a chargeback:
- We treat it as a refund event for the purposes of IP ownership: all rights in work from the disputed period revert to the maker under Terms §3.
- We may contest chargebacks we believe are improper, filed in breach of these Terms, or filed after the 7-day refund window without a substantive basis.
- Excessive or abusive chargebacks may result in account suspension.
IP reversion on refund
When a refund or chargeback results in you not paying for a period, all intellectual property rights in work produced during that period revert to the maker. Concretely:
- You must stop using, distributing, and deploying the work from the refunded period, unless you and the maker agree otherwise in writing.
- If the work has already been integrated into a live product, contact us at legal@mimecam.com and we will help coordinate a resolution with the maker (typically a re-engagement or a separate paid licence for continued use).
- Work produced during periods you did pay for remains yours forever, even if a later period is refunded.
